April had many exciting factors to it for Aberdeen and Bon Accord. The Club hosted the return of the Aberdeen Congress at the start of the month, played out final match of the NE League and headed down to Dunfirmline for the Final match of the SNCL.
Aberdeen Congress
The overal tournament was a great success for the club with 3 of our members managing to get in the top 3 places for prizes, excellent play to Murad, Jan and Ross and to everyone who participated in this congress.

Round 10 for the Bon Accord club was played against eachother in the final round. With a just victory over Bon Accord 1, Bon Accord Rooks manage to stay top the table and win the first year return of the North East League with Stonehaven Carron in 2nd place and Bon Accord Rooks in 3rd.
SNCL Rnd 9
Bon Accord played the final round in Dunfirmline for the Scottish National Chess League in Division 1. For round 9 we played against Wandering Dragons and with still the possibility of Relegation in the air, Bon Accord had to step up with at least 1 point to fully secure staying in Division 1. This was secured quite early thankfully with a default on board 5.

Overall, a very successful and exciting april for the Bon Accord Club, with winning our last match of the SNCL and staying in Division 1, haveing 3 top 3 contenders in the aberdeen congress and winning the NE League.
