Today marks a new journey into Chess for the Bon Accord Club, entering into the Four Nations Chess league for the first time.

Round 1 was played today on Lichess and it started off great with a clean sweep against the Worcestershire Wolfpack.

Each player performed well under the pressure with Matthew and Magizhan earning the upper hand early on with great tactical vision to gain a piece or go up the exchange. Thomas with a bishop sack to open up the kingside and apply a lot of pressue. Leaving Mike to wittle his opponent down with a difficult endgame that with the wrong move could have easily ended in a draw!
