Plenty of action this past weekend with Bon Accord chess club competing at Richardson Cup on Saturday and the Scottish National League on Sunday.

Saturday the team won against Cathcart with 5.5-2.5. The match took place at a neutral venue in Dundee. Congratulations to the players who participated! I think we all look forward to playing against Dundee City in early April for the semi-final of Richardson Cup!

On Sunday the team traveled to Dunfermline to play Rounds 7 and 8 of the Scottish National League and we lost one match but we won the other.

SNCL Round 7: Dunfermline Knights – Bon Accord 3.5 – 1.5

SNCL Round 8: Bon Accord – Lenzie Basilisks 3 – 2

The team managed to stay in Division 1 of the National League and that is great news!

Special congratulations to Mr Richard Jennings for his recent streak. Especially on Sunday, he won against a very strong opponent in the morning and drew against a talented youngster in the afternoon. I think Richard also leads the scoreboard at our Club Championship. Amazing stuff!
