This is just a quick status update so that prospective and current members are aware of where the club is currently at. Apologies to anyone who has been trying to contact us on facebook or via the website recently, I have not managed to keep on top of all the enquiries as well as I would have liked to.

So far the club is yet to open in person since closing in March 2020. Things are moving behind the scenes , but it is still unclear when this will change.

We are participating as a club in two online team events:

• We are part of a combined squad with “Team Alba” in the top division of the online Four Nations Chess League (4NCL). https://4ncl.co.uk
• We also have a team in “2020 Chess”, https://www.2020chess.com

In addition to the online team events, we also run an online club championship . We are currently in round 3 of 5 of the 2022 edition.

I don’t know when we will reopen in person but will update the website to reflect this when it happens.
